A Message From the Patron

It is with great joy that I welcome you to the Nigerian Community in Hartlepool (NICOHA). Our organisation is founded on the values of unity, respect, and shared progress, and we are committed to building an inclusive community where every resident feels valued and supported.

While we proudly celebrate the rich heritage, resilience, and contributions of Nigerians in Hartlepool, our purpose reaches far beyond cultural identity. NICOHA exists to bring people together—Nigerians, long-standing local residents, and members of all cultural backgrounds—to promote understanding, strengthen relationships, and contribute positively to the wider Hartlepool community.

Together, we aim to create opportunities for connection, learning, and mutual support. Whether through cultural exchange, education, community events, or social activities, every contribution—big or small—helps to improve wellbeing and build a more harmonious Hartlepool for everyone.

I invite you to get involved, share your strengths, and participate in the activities that shape our shared future. Together, we will make NICOHA a symbol of unity, empowerment, and community pride.

Stronger together. Better together. Building unity in Hartlepool for the benefit of all.
